The Parent & Friends Association
The PFA work tirelessly on behalf of the school. It has a major part to play in the raising of valuable funds to buy curriculum items for the school. Each year the PFA commits money raised to provide the extras that enrich the children's education. Funding goes towards projects such as the upkeep of the environmental garden, playground equipment, computers, class cameras and extra classroom equipment. It also provides financial support for school trips or visiting groups, leavers parties and any other needs of the school directly affecting the children.
To help the PFA in raising funds it has a subscription of £10 per family per term.
This subscription means that the PFA has been able to cut back on the small events which were not cost effective, and concentrate on social events for the families without the need to make as much money as possible. In this way its functions contribute towards the community spirit of the school.
The Committee is run by a Chairman and its size is very flexible and dependant on volunteers who want to help.
The school is very dependent upon the PFA and fully supports the work done by the hard working volunteers.
The PFA are thrilled to announce that we raised £15,000 for our school in 2017/18 - an absolutely amazing result! Thank you to the 2017/18 PFA committee and a special thank you to Andy Taylor, our Treasurer, for all his hard work - Andy resigned from Treasurer at this year's AGM and is replaced by Sabrina Atkins.
Thank you to everyone who supported us during the last school year - you are amazing! The events and fundraising efforts are not possible without your participation. Whether you have helped run an event, volunteered on a stall, dressed as an elf, made hundred of pieces of toast or just spent your hard earned cash, every single bit helps and we are so very grateful for your support. We simply cannot fundraise without you!
