2016 was the first of a new assessment system for the higher expectations of the new National Curriculum at Key Stage 1.
Our reading was above national average, but our Writing and Maths dipped below national averages for the first time in many years. We are working hard to address the differences and adapt our teaching accordingly.
We are very pleased that our Year 1 Phonics results were above the national average at 82% (National - 79%).
Our Early Years Foundation Stage percentage of pupils reaching a Good Level Of Development was also higher than the national average: 82% reached a GLD (National 73%).
OUR RESULTS FOR 2016 ARE AS FOLLOWS
