Supporting our School

The PFA work tirelessly on behalf of the school. It has a major part to play in the raising of valuable funds to buy curriculum items for the school. Each year the PFA commits money raised to provide the extras that enrich the children's education. Funding goes towards projects such as the upkeep of the environmental garden, playground equipment, computers, class cameras and extra classroom equipment. It also provides financial support for school trips or visiting groups, leavers parties and any other needs of the school directly affecting the children.

To help the PFA in raising funds it has a subscription of £10 per family per term.

This subscription means that the PFA has been able to cut back on the small events which were not cost effective, and concentrate on social events for the families without the need to make as much money as possible. In this way its functions contribute towards the community spirit of the school.

The Committee is run by a Chairman and its size is very flexible and dependant on volunteers who want to help.

The school is very dependent upon the PFA and fully supports the work done by the hard working volunteers.

Class Parent Representatives

Each class has a parent representative on the PFA Committee. It is the role of these Reps to keep parents informed of events, sell tickets for them and try to get volunteers for the class when needed.

The Parent Reps are also the communication link between the school and other parents in their class. They meet with our Head, Shirley, on a termly basis so that they can provide parent feedback and Shirley can inform them of any relevant developments and highlights within school. This role is very important as it helps with the smooth running of the school and communication between school and parents.
